The Hawaii Cord Blood Bank Receives Grant from the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc for Maui Program 6/29/17

We are delighted to announced that on June 29, 2017, the Hawai‘i Cord Blood Bank received a grant of $27,500 from the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. (KFHP) in support of our Maui Program. HCBB expanded services to Maui in May of 2012, with the goal of broadening the pool of mixed ethnicity donors. It is a little known fact, but Maui County has the most ethnically diverse population in the US. This generous donation will allow us to continue our services on Maui and help to fill the critical need of multi-ethnic umbilical cord blood. We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Kaiser Foundation for their support of our program along with the many doctors, nurses and staff who volunteer their time.
